The Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) has given Equinor Energy (Equinor) consent to use the Transocean Equinox mobile drilling facility on the Visund field.

The consent comprises workover of well 34/8-D-2 HT2 on the Visund field in the North Sea.

The work is scheduled to begin in early April 2019, and is expected to take 32 days.

Transocean Equinox is a semi-submersible drilling facility of the CAT-D type. It is owned and operated by Transocean. The facility was previously named Songa Equinox, and received an Acknowledgement of Compliance from the PSA in 2015.
