Wison New Energies (former Wison Offshore & Marine) has commenced works for the design validation and pre-front-end engineering design (FEED) of two floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) projects in Nigeria.

The two projects, owned by Ace Gas and FLNG and Transoceanic Gas & Power, will have a capacity of 3 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG each.

Transoceanic's project will be built offshore Pennington, while Ace Gas and FLNG's will be located offshore Escravos. They will be connected to gathering facilities managed by Samsung Heavy Industry Nigeria, while Siemens Energy will be responsible for the power and compression systems.

Offtake agreements have already been secured with Socar, Vitol and Karpowership.
