A consortium formed by developers and government agencies has announced a 10GW green hydrogen project in Malaysia. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the hub, which will be built in the state of Sabah, has been signed.

LBS will be the consortium's leader. Invest Sabah Berhad, Sabah Forestry Development Authority (Safoda) and Midwest Green will also be part of the project.

The green hydrogen hub will cover an area of up to 30,000 acres. The electrolyser is planned to have a production capacity of 250,000 tonnes of hydrogen per year.
