Building on a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative launched in 2015 that delivered a virtual tour of CLAN House and its residential Haven facility for cancer patients and their families travelling to Aberdeen for treatment, Return To Scene has now delivered a virtual tour of the charity’s new CLAN Crimond base.

Web-based and easily accessible, the virtual tours are a brilliant source of information for people affected by cancer, their families and carers, allowing them to familiarise themselves with the facilities before making their first visit to access CLAN’s wide range of wellbeing services. For Return To Scene, virtual tours are a bolt-on deliverable to its core R2S software.

CLAN’s Crimond facility officially opened in March 2018, providing drop in and consultation services and access to a wide range of support services to the local population for the Peterhead and Fraserburgh areas.  While it has been a busy first few months for Crimond, it is hoped that the virtual tour will provide greater awareness of just what the facility has to offer.

There are so many different ways to approach CSR as a business that delivers value to both the recipient and organisation.  On this project, giving time and skills has allowed us to train our team on new survey methods and support our ongoing R&D programme while delivering an important tool to the CLAN team.  There is also no denying that everyone of our team involved in this initiative has taken away much, much more.  We are looking forward to working with CLAN towards the digital capture of all of its facilities in the region.”

Clients who have used the virtual tours before stepping through our doors have commented how much it has helped them as our facilities felt familiar from their first moment and it also helped to answer any questions about what they might experience.
