CNPC Chairman Dai Houliang met with Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister Guvanch Agazhanovin Beijing, engaging in in-depth discussions on enhancing natural gas collaboration.
Agazhanov emphasized the strategic nature of Turkmen-China gas cooperation, a priority for the top leaders of both countries. He lauded flagship projects, citing the Amu Darya Right Bank Natural Gas Project and the Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline as vital to Turkmenistan's socio-economic progress. Praising CNPC as a "trustworthy and technologically-advanced partner," he underscored the company's contribution to cutting-edge solutions and technical services. He called for deepened cooperation to foster industry growth, share developmental dividends, and strengthen bilateral ties for the benefit of both peoples.
Dai responded that energy cooperation enjoys a solid foundation and broad prospects under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state. He highlighted that both sides, guided by mutual respect and accommodation, have consistently countered external uncertainties with the resilience of their partnership. CNPC, he affirmed, will act on the leaders' consensus, harness complementary resources and markets to solidify natural gas cooperation, and bring the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level.
