Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) has given Equinor Energy (Equinor) consent to use parts of the drilling facility on the Johan Sverdrup field.

The Johan Sverdrup field is under development, with Equinor as the operator. PSA has now given the company consent to use parts of the drilling facility in the installation phase. The consent applies to use of the drilling facility starting in June 2018 for completion of equipment and areas in the installation phase and mechanical completion.

The drilling facility is the second of a total of four platforms to be installed in phase 1 of the development of Johan Sverdrup.
