Baker Hughes has issued the rotary rig counts for the past week, showing that both the U.S. and Canada have seen a reduction in operating rigs. The U.S. Rig Count is down 62 rigs from last week to 602, with oil rigs down 58 to 504, gas rigs down 4 to 96, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.

U.S. Rig Count is down 420 rigs from last year's count of 1,022, with oil rigs down 329, gas rigs down 93, and miscellaneous rigs up 2 to 2.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 18 and down 5 year-over-year.

Canada's Rig Count is down 6 rigs from last week to 35, with oil rigs down 3 to 6 and gas rigs down 3 to 29.

Canada is down 31 rigs from last year's count of 66, with oil rigs down 12 and gas rigs down 19.
