Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) reports that it has a 40% participation as a Non-Operating Partner jointly with the Australian oil company Woodside Energy for the development of the Trion Field, whose Development Plan has been approved today, under Contract No. CNH A1 TRION/2016, at the thirty-sixth ordinary session of the National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH).
 
This project will develop the field's proven and probable (2P) reservoirs of 478.7 million barrels of crude oil equivalent with an investment of US$7.2 billion.
 
According to the Development Plan, oil and gas production is expected to begin in 2028.
