Petrobras will participate, between 1 and 5 June at the World Gas Conference (World Gas Conference - WGC 2015), the most important area of natural gas worldwide event. At the 26th edition of the event in Paris, France, the company will present the program for Optimizing Gas Utilization (POAG) in addition to work on gas prospects in Brazil and neighbors and technological innovations in the field of fertilizers countries. Company representatives also preside five panels.

Program Optimization Use of Gas Petrobras (POAG 2015), which expressively reduced gas flaring in the activities of E & P company, even with the increased production, will be one of the topics presented at the event, 5th, at 11.20 am, by Vitor de Souza Lima, coordinator in the area of Exploration and Production. At the conference, called POAG 2015 - "Reducing gas flaring in Petrobras" ('The reduction of gas flaring at Petrobras'), it is treated on the gas utilization rate of Petrobras, which broke historical records, placing Brazil among the countries that make better use of this resource in the area of E & P. The index reached in February this year monthly record in the company, with the use of 96.5% of the gas produced in Brazil.
The balance of supply and demand of gas in the Southern Cone region will be addressed by Gisele Mello Rodrigues Senra, Consultant in the area of Gas and Energy, and Gisela Andrade de Oliveira, manager of Petrobras' international area. The thematic session, entitled "Strategy and Regulation" ('Strategy and Regulation') will be held on 3, at 5 pm Among the topics that will be presented, it is also increasing the security of supply of gas in the Southern Cone, with planned investments in the Brazilian pre-salt and unconventional gas in Argentina as well as new developments in Bolivia.

Taxation - Member of International Gas Union (IGU), the organization responsible for the event, Marcos de Freitas Sugaya, consultant of the Exploration and Production of Petrobras, will chair the session "unconventional fiscal regimes for conventional gas production and" (' tax regimes for the production of conventional and unconventional gas') on day 3, at 5 pm At that meeting, Sugaya also present the results achieved by the group of studies conducted over the past three years. The team, composed of professionals from different countries, said the best practices to encourage the production of natural gas after analyzing the most important tax regimes of the world. He will also chair another panel, called "Competitiveness in the gas market and investments in the exploration and production sector" ('Gas on competition and upstream gas investment') the same day, at 8.30 am, which will be discussed about mechanisms of pricing of the product.
The combination of technological innovations and best practices in the area of fertilizer production will be the main theme of the Coordinator Cristiane Lodi, the area of Gas and Energy of Petrobras. The session entitled "Additional Uses for Gas" (Additional Uses of Gas) will take place on 3 1.50 pm to 2.35 pm The operational experience in the production of fertilizers resulted in projects of units whose energy consumption is among the lowest of the world.

Petrobras involving panels - Five panels of the conference will be chaired by representatives of Petrobras. In addition to the panels mediated Sugaya, general manager of Control and Performance Evaluation of Exploration and Production, Krambeck Denis Dinell, will lead other three: the first on reducing natural gas flares, next to the Program Manager Flares do Reduction World Bank (GGFR), Bjorn Hamso, 2/6 day, at 3:15 pm; in the second on unconventional gas, Dinelli will stand with the Secretary of Energy of the first administration of President Barack Obama in the US, Jason Bordoff, on June 3, at 3 pm Dinelli lead also a panel called "Natural gas everywhere: an assessment of wealth and global reserves" ('Natural gas available everywhere: an assessment of overall resources and reserves'), to be held on the 4th, at 5:15 pm
International Gas Union (IGU)

Petrobras held over the last three years the presidency of the Committee of E & P International Gas Union (IGU), having been responsible for the coordination of an extensive report on the exploration and production of natural gas in the world, including the application of new technologies and quantifying and resource reservations for both conventional and non-conventional gas. Founded in 1931, the IGU is a worldwide non-profit organization whose mission is to defend the natural gas is part of a sustainable global energy system part. The association has over 140 members, including associations and companies in the gas sector, representing more than 95% of the global market.
