Petrobras announces that the Refinaria Abreu e Lima (RNEST) reached a new record of monthly processing, with an average load of 94,800 barrels of oil per day (bpd) processed in May, exceeding the previous record of 91,000 bpd, in March 2016, by 3,800 bpd. This corresponds to a total volume of 2.94 million barrels of oil processed in May, 117,000 barrels more than the total volume of March (2.82 million barrels).

These results have enabled a production of 330,200 m³ of Diesel S-10, representing 28.2% of the total production of this byproduct by Petrobras in May 2016. Diesel S10 is a high quality product with up to 10ppm sulfur (parts per million).

The numbers achieved reiterate Petrobras’ continuous search to increase the operational efficiency of its refineries, contributing to the reduction of the importation of byproducts. The result was achieved while respecting the Company's principles of Safety, Environment and Health.
