Petrobras informs that the rating agency Fitch has reaffirmed Petrobras’ global ratings at BBB-, with a negative outlook. Thus, Petrobras continues to be classified as an investment grade company for this agency.

Fitch points out in its report that the Company’s rating is based on its leadership position in the Brazilian domestic energy market, recognized expertise in offshore exploration and production and its strategic importance to Brazil.

The agency also highlighted Petrobras’ strong liquidity, represented by a cash and marketable securities position of approximately US$ 30 billion as of June 2015.

Fitch considers that the Company’s risk level continues to be linked to the sovereign risk, due to the government’s control of Petrobras.
