Elementz is advancing collaborative development of artificial intelligence tools for subsea operations through Tide Breaker, the innovation programme within its Blue Digital Ecosystem. The programme connects technology developers with operators to define, test and prepare solutions for offshore use.

The initiative focuses on five operator-defined areas: risk modelling, predictive integrity, autonomous monitoring, AI support for engineering tasks and systems that retain and reuse operational knowledge. These themes target the management of subsea infrastructure and the interpretation of inspection and integrity information.

Developers gain access to governed operational datasets, a sandbox environment and feedback from participating operators. The Elementz platform provides the underlying infrastructure, while Compass is the operator layer that helps define challenges and validate emerging tools.

The programme’s website describes a second cohort opening in late 2026, welcoming established vendors, AI developers and research institutions as well as start-ups. Organisations with relevant capabilities can register interest in the operator-defined themes.

For offshore technology providers, the model offers a route to develop against specific operational requirements rather than isolated demonstrations. The intended outcome is integration into a permanent ecosystem, with interoperability and operator validation central to the process.
